Download maria luisa positano1/22/2024 The location is good and it is located high up in Positano. We were pleasantly surprised with the accommodation. I travelled to Positano with my family and booked 3 rooms. I booked this hotel based on the reviews, it’s affordability and availability. Would very happily return here! Thanks Carlo! Location was great and a stroll down to the nearby beach was easy but returning up those steps needed a bit more time! Lots of stylish restaurants nearby and a few little supermarkets as well. Absolutely the place to stay on a budget and for unforgettable views. Sitting in that sun having breakfast and relaxing there during the day was just the best. The real wow of this room was the view - just open the doors onto your private terrace and take in that amazing view of Positano! Definitely go for a room with a private terrace. Our room no.4 was smallish but had everything we needed and was clean, basic and rustic in a charming and relaxing way. Met Carlo who was such a lovely host and so warm and welcoming. Very glad we didn't arrive by boat as Positano is very steep and the hotel is situated up high. A downward stroll with luggage to the hotel (which all the locals we asked knew well) took about 15 minutes. Arrived in Positano by bus from Amalfi (make sure you get off at second Sita bus stop in Positano (from Amalfi) called 'Chiesa Nuova'. Best reception was obtained when standing in the shower, but this is hard on equipment. As I moved around the room, different wifi hotspots would appear and disappear, very strange. Only negative was that WiFi coverage in our room (#9) was very spotty, and dropped frequently. At 8 Euros for both of us it was the cheapest meal of the whole week. The only problem was I did not know that you had to order breakfast in advance, so the next morning after getting our car out of the garage we stopped at the local store and got some sandwiches and coffee to go. And the price was more than fair, 65 Euro per night. For a last-minute booking, I was very happy. Wow! Carlo was very accomodating, room was quite large and nice. We had no idea what the Amalfi coast would be like or what a town like Positano would be like either. We drove in one long day from Ferrara to Positano, arriving just before sunset.
